Ester and Simon (Cy) Walenta

For us it all started in 1949

It was January 2, 1949 when Simon (Cy) and Esther Walenta opened the doors of Walenta Grinding, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI with just one centerless grinding machine in a shared facility. As our company expanded, Cy purchased two acres on 126th Street in Brookfield, WI and Walenta Grinding moved into its own newly constructed building.

When Cy passed in 1965, Esther continued to manage the company until retirement in 1977. Two of Cy and Esther’s children, Les and Valerie, started working during these years and later took over when their mother retired.

Walenta Grinding continues to thrive under the care of Les and Valerie, who have kept the company current with modern advancements through the decades. We aim to provide the same excellent service for many years to come with the addition of Valerie’s son, Paul, and his daughters, Kylene and Emily.

We celebrated our 75th anniversary in 2024 and couldn’t be prouder that many customers who used our services in the beginning continue to be customers today. That is a testament to our skilled and dedicated employees, our commitment to excellence and our foresight to modernize throughout the years.
